|Why Serial Innovators Succeed Where Others Fail|
Larry Osborne (M.Div., D.Min.) is a pastor, author and leadership mentor based in Southern California. Since 1980 he has served as a teaching pastor at North Coast Church, which is widely recognized as one of the most influential and innovative churches in America. Larry and his team pioneered the first video venues among churches, helped spawn the multi-site church movement, created a sermon-based small group model now widely used across the country, and instituted one of the first collaborative models of team-teaching.
Osborne speaks extensively on the subjects of leadership and spiritual formation, and has spoken across the U.S. at events sponsored by Resurgence, Cornerstone Pastor’s Network, Exponential, Next-Gen Leadership Community, Acts 29, and others.
His books include Sticky Teams, Sticky Church, 10 Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe, Spirituality for the Rest of Us, Accidental Pharisees and Innovation’s Dirty Little Secret (available October 2013 from Zondervan). In this latest book, Larry reveals the “dirty little secret” behind innovation: most innovations fail, and how successful serial innovators execute new innovations with an exit plan in mind. Innovation’s Dirty Little Secret empowers leaders to foster innovation without breeding insecurity.
Larry and his wife, Nancy, live in Oceanside, California.
